How ShortMe.lk collects, uses, and protects your data.

We collect the minimum data needed to run the service: your name, email address, and encrypted password when you sign up; content you upload (PDFs, documents, images) for AI processing; and basic usage records (documents generated, plan limits) for billing and abuse prevention.
2How we use it
Your data is used to provide the service (generating study materials), enforce plan limits, send account emails (verification, password resets, receipts), and improve the platform. We never sell your personal data.
3Uploaded content
Files you upload are processed to fulfil your request and stored privately. Generated outputs are yours. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.
4AI processing
Your prompts and uploads may be sent to our AI providers solely to generate your requested output. We do not use your private content for advertising.
5Cookies & sessions
We use encrypted session cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. No third-party advertising trackers are used.
6Data sharing
We share data only with infrastructure essential to the service (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) and when required by Sri Lankan law.
7Your rights
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact page. Deleting your account removes your profile and uploads.
