You sit down to study, open your notes, and then your phone lights up. You check one notification, reply to a message, and somehow end up scrolling for another 20 minutes.

The difficult part is that phones are useful for studying too. You might need yours to watch a lesson, check a class group, look up a word, or open a past paper. So switching it off or keeping it in another room isn’t always practical.

What works for you when you need your phone for studying but want to avoid getting distracted?

Do you turn on Do Not Disturb, use app timers, or study for short periods with planned breaks? Have you tried anything that worked for more than just a few days?
